Antique Persian Afshar Small Room Size Carpet

Of unusual size, this SE Persian tribal weaving shows a rust-to-brick abrashed field with three vertically offset columns of diamonds filled with tiny stars. Half-columns are set at the sides. Winged rosettes fill in the broadly banded lattice. The slate to light blue border shows rosettes in either octagons or diamonds. Medium tribal weave. Good condition. On cotton.
