A vintage Indian Cotton Agra rug. Basically bitonal in light blue and ecru, this northern Indian cotton pile scatters shows a slightly stepped lozenge lattice enclosing starts, all on the light ground. Of the three narrow borders, the central light blue stripe is noteworthy for its simple tripartite flowers. The narrow palette is common to many early 20thcentury cotton Agras.
