Vintage Indian Lahore Room Size Carpet

A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. A warm, dark bronze field shows a 4 × 8 rectangular array of equal-scale quadrilobed rosettes and octofoils with splayed stem linkages. The tonal border features shield palmettes alternating with pinched devices amid a welter of vinery. Tilted corner palmettes complete the field, while straw minor guard borders include forked arabesques.
