A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The light sandy beige field presents a well-spaced version of the 15th-century Anatolian Holbein allover design, with subtle cruciform primary devices and indented octagonal secondary guls. A narrow main border is decorated with rosettes set in cartouches. The soft palette contrasts with the much more highly saturated tones of the original examples.
