Vintage Turkish Anatolian Wide Gallery Runner

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. The red field is centered by an openwork medallion composed of coiled rams’ horn barbed leaves around a small blue ragged octagram. Quarter sections of the open medallion appear at the corners, and small flowers lighten the field. A straw border with square floral modules in the Central Anatolian manner frames the design, finished with a plain red outer surround.
